Hi. Welcome to St. Matthew’s Sunday School.

you for searching in our part of the website, we’ll try
to answer some of your questions and introduce you to our
group.
We run a Sunday School most Sunday mornings during school term-time (we have a break during summer and miss a couple after Christmas). We join in with the main Sunday worship to begin with, then go downstairs into the hall to do our thing.
The children we have are between 3 yrs. and 10, boys and girls, those who know lots and those who want to learn more.
We try to make things fun, exciting and new and write things that we know will be enjoyed by everyone.
Those who are 3 & 4 yrs. old are in a small group that hopes to ease them gently into Sunday School, hearing stories, playing and doing things with art & craft materials.
5, 6’s & 7’s are in a separate group who do more adventurous things, talk more about the Bible and can do more challenging things with make & do exercises.
Those who are older however, get louder and more excitable. The 8, 9’s & 10’s therefore work toward more complicated questions and even manage to answer a few. Those in the top age group have even been known to present things to everyone else (leaders included).
We try hard to have a good environment to be in, work towards a friendly atmosphere and strive to meet everyone’s needs.
