Prayer

Here are some of the ways that people at St Matthew’s pray together.

Monday morning group: a prayer group meets monthly on Monday mornings. Members pray then and throughout the month for ongoing prayer needs of the church and individual members.

Church prayer meeting: takes place monthly in the evening, usually the last Monday in the month. Everyone in the church is welcome to come along and pray for the work of St Matthew’s.

Prayer chains: are for situations or people needing immediate prayer. Prayer requests are put round by phone and email.

After service prayer team (members of the congregation): is usually available in the chapel after the Sunday morning service to pray with anyone who feels the need for prayer.

Online prayer wall: can be used by registered and logged in users of this site.

Prayer Ministry Sessions

If you would like to continue to explore your healing journey in a more in-depth way, we can offer you a longer session (typically 1-2 hours) with two of the prayer ministry team, usually during the week. This may be a one-off appointment or can continue regularly for as long as there is a need.

The team use a range of tools in their ministry, as appropriate, including scripture, meditation, laying on of hands, anointing with oil, music and praying.

We believe that God longs for everyone to be whole in body, mind and spirit, so the ministry team is likely to look at all these aspects of your life.

If you would like to book a session, please contact us through the church office
