Why do we need pastorates? St Matthew’s is growing and we need to make sure people don’t get lost and also new people can be integrated into the life of the church. We have three Pastorates meeting in the 1st and 3rd weeks of the month, when there is a fifth week in the month the groups meet together.
- Richard and Laura Pendlebury lead the group meeting on 1st+3rd Tuesdays in the Church Hall. 6.30–8.30pm.
- Dom and Cath Hubbuck lead the group meeting on 1st+3rd Tuesdays in the Deaf Centre, Dove Street. 6.30–8.30pm.
- Mat and Emma lead the group meeting in local homes on 1st+3rd Wednesdays 7.30–9.30pm.
What is the time commitment? Pastorates meet for two hours during term time (at a suitable time for members)—each member brings some food to contribute to the shared meal. In the intervening weeks many members go to their smaller House Groups.
