Church Weekend Away

Following on from a successful church weekend away in 2016, we are returning to Brunel Manor again for our weekend together in 2018. We hope this will be a time to build community by spending time with each other and with God, and in that, to have fun, engage with study and the Bible, and get to know each other better across all ages.

We are pleased to be welcoming as our speaker, David Lawrence, from Thornbury Baptist Church, where he is the Teaching Pastor. David will already be known to some of us through his work with the London Institute for Contemporary Christianity (LICC) for whom he is the Imagine Church Life consultant in the South West. His ministry background includes church planting, church leadership and leadership consultancy. David has written several books including Winning Ways–creating a culture of outreach in your church (jointly with Philip Jinadu) and the award winning Chocolate Teapot for young people. He also contributes to Scripture Union’s Daily Bread. David is married with 3 grown up children. He enjoys playing in a brass band, woodworking, watching football and walking. The theme for the weekend is: Make a Difference–Wherever You Are.

Booking forms can be returned to Mary Parsons in the P pigeonhole at church, by post or by email. Please contact if you have any questions.
