Autumn Service Plans

To keep you informed of our plans, we will be trying out some additions to the service plan in the autumn. We will be moving the main service back to 10.30am and as a first step in a gradual process, we shall tryout reintroducing an early Holy Communion service on two Sundays a month when there is no Holy Communion at the 10.30—this would be a reflective said service. The time we shall try out at first is 8.45am, as we need to ensure there is a clear hour before the 10.30 service, for the set up and music practice. This will be a trial with ongoing review. The start date will be Sunday 26th September when there will be an 8.45am said Holy Communion and a 10.30am Sunday Worship.

We are also aiming to try out a more informal afternoon (4pm) time of worship and prayer in the autumn term starting on 19th September. This would aim to reach out to a different demographic to our Sunday morning services and try and reach the people who are most prevalent in our parish area. Hopefully this will also link to Alpha in some format and also connect with Youth on a Sunday evening. The intention would be to trial this for six weeks and reassess the situation as it progresses. Gaby Doherty is taking the lead in developing this.

Please continue to pray for us as we try and discern the best ways forward, as we look to the future.
