Safe Space

Thursday, 19 January 2012 @ 7.45pm

Most Christians struggle with doubts at some point in their walk with God. It can seem difficult to hold on to faith, whilst living in a culture that so often denies God’s existence. Such a struggle can have a positive effect, in terms of deepening and maturing faith. However, it may leave some feeling bruised and shut off not only from God but from those around them, particularly at church where others seem to have it all sorted out.

If this sounds familiar, you may find it helpful to meet and talk with others who are feeling the same. Safe Space is a new group that will be meeting for 6 Thursday evenings 7:45 January 19th–March 1st (with a half-term break). Each meeting will explore a topic, such as ‘How did I get here from there’, ‘Quiet Times and other private hells’, and common stumbling blocks. There will be discussion, and a short act of contemplative worship. It will be led by Richard and Tracey Wheeler and Phil Doragh.

If you are thinking about coming along, to any or all of the sessions, or just want further information, please contact Tracey Wheeler. Venue tbc once we have an idea of numbers
