Electoral Roll

Baptism marks our entry into the whole church of God. But in order to be a member of the local Church of England church the Church of England uses the electoral roll. So if you would consider yourself to be a member of St Matthew’s and you are baptised and over 16 then you are eligible to apply to go on the roll. It is different to the address list.

Membership of the Electoral Roll means that you are able to vote and speak at the annual meeting and that you can stand for election to PCC and Deanery Synod (see below). A list of current members and forms to join the electoral roll are available downstairs and must be returned to the church office by March 20th.
