Women’s Breakfast

Following on from a great Women’s Weekend in May, there will be another opportunity for the women of St Matthew’s and their friends to get together for food, fellowship and fun over breakfast.

Our speaker will be Sian Murray-Williams, a baptist minister and tutor and chaplain at Bristol Baptist College; married to Stuart—who brought to the marriage two sons and a cat—step-grandmother to a three year old boy—who is a joy; loves contemporary novels, good music, meals around tables, and is determined to see the menopause through with dignity.

Cost £5.

Alpha Launch Evening

At the Ark.

Have you invited someone but they’re just not sure about Alpha? Would you like the opportunity to invite someone to a ‘no-commitment’ find out more session?

This evening is an opportunity to hear from others who have done the course, ask questions, and get a flavour for what the course is like.

Starts today.

The Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith.

It’s relaxed, low key, friendly and fun with coffee/tea and cake together at the beginning of each session. Listen, learn, discuss and discover.  Ask anything.  Alpha is a place where no question is too simple or too hostile.

Course runs: Thursday 7th October – Thursday 2nd December 7.30-9pm at The Ark

Back to Church Sunday

Back to Church Sunday’ is now the largest single local-church invitational initiative in the world. It is based on the simplest and shortest step in evangelism—that we should invite someone we already know to something we love; invite our friend to our church.

We will be giving out invitations at Kingsdown Homegrown for people to come to St Matthew’s and there will be invitations available in the foyer for you to take to friends, neighbours and work colleagues.
