Release challenge

Thursday, 27 May 2010 @ 7.30pm

Those of you who were at the evening service this Sunday will have heard a few of us speak about a conference that we attended last week at the Colston Hall called ‘Release’. It was a powerful and challenging time for those who attended and it was fantastic to stand and worship with so many other Christians from around Bristol. There was an incredibly powerful presence of the Holy Spirit and a real sense of excitement about what God is doing and wants to do on the streets of Bristol.

Out of this a few of us have felt a renewed call to pray for our city, our community and St Matthew’s. We are going to meet this Thursday and wait on God, worship and pray. We want to spend time with Him and here what He has to say to us—we are hungry for more.

Come and join us! We’ll be meeting in the youth lounge, feel free to drop in any time you can. If we get too large for the lounge we may end up in the hall.

If you can’t make it, but would like us to pray for something in particular or would like to know how it goes, let Vicky know.

‘Even the wilderness will rejoice in those days. The desert will bloom with flowers. Yes, there will be an abundance of flowers and singing and joy! The deserts will become as green as the mountains of Lebanon, as lovely as Mount Carmel’s pastures and the plain of Sharon. There the Lord will display his glory, the splendour of our God.’ Isaiah 35:1-2Open Link in New Window
